MCU Hospital is seeking a Cashier to handle patient payments via cash, cheque and credit card, ensuring accurate receipts and timely posting to the system.

The role requires attention to detail, data entry, and compliance with deposit procedures, with duties including daily cash reconciliation and reporting to the Head Cashier.

Qualifications

• College Degree preferably in Business Administration.

Responsibilities

• Receives cash, cheque, and Credit Card payments from patients and other payments.
• Counts cash and cheques received for correctness.
• Enters data and posts receipt transaction to the computer.
• Prepares and processes Patient Refund Voucher.
• Releases Cash Payroll and petty cash replenishment.
• Records Validated Deposit Slips for reporting.
• Records used Official Receipts and returns to Accounting for replenishment and audit purposes.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Retrieves patient’s Statements of Accounts from the computer application and confirms amount to be paid.
• Receives cash, cheque, and credit card payments from patients and other payments.
• Counts cash and cheques received for correctness.
• Enters data and posts receipt transaction to the computer.
• Endorses cash, cheque, and Credit Card Transaction Slips to the Head Cashier and prepares Daily Cash Collection Report.
• Prepares checks for disbursement through ACCPACC.
• Prepares and processes Patient Refund Voucher.
• Releases Cash Payroll and petty cash replenishment.
• Records Validated Deposit Slips for reporting.
• Records used Official Receipts and returns to Accounting for replenishment and audit purposes.
• Performs other related functions by superiors.

Minimum Qualifications:

• College Degree preferably in Business Administration
