Job summary

MUJI Philippines Corp. is seeking a diligent cashier/retail associate in Makati to handle payment processing, ensure accuracy in cash handling, and support store operations. The role includes maintaining change funds, assisting customers, and safeguarding merchandise.

Responsibilities cover reporting, bank settlements, end-of-day tasks, and supervising in the absence of the Store Head. A reliable, detail-oriented candidate with strong integrity is preferred.

• Attend to payment processing (cash or credit) and detect fake bills or fraud cards.
• Prepare and submit sales reports and computerized cash breakdown reports.
• Maintain sufficient change fund at all times.
• Ensure smooth operation of computer machines/ECR.
• Assist in promoting and selling to customers.
• Oversee merchandise and guard against loss and damage.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the counter area.
• Endorse cash to reliever before/after breaks.
• Monitor usage and accountability of store supplies; update replenishment.
• Do bank settlements on all EDC terminals every night.
• Ensure bank change slips are complete and ready.
• Promote all bank promotions, if any.
• Maintain logbook for important info and endorsements.
• Assist customers when available.
• Oversee store in the absence of Store Head/Leader.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• 1. Attends to the payment processing whether cash or credit from customers. Must be knowledgeable in detecting fake bills and fraud cards.
• 2. Prepares and submits sales reports and computerized cash breakdown report.
• 3. Maintains sufficient change fund at all times.
• 4. Maintain smooth operations of computer machines or ECR.
• 5. Assists in the promotion / assisting of customers/ selling.
• 6. Partakes in the overseeing of merchandise and guards the items against loss and damage.
• 7. Maintains the cleanliness and orderliness in the counter area.
• 8. Properly endorses cash to the reliever before and after taking break.
• 9. Monitors usage and accountability of store supplies. Updates replenishment whenever needed.
• 10. Does bank settlements in all EDC terminals every night.
• 11. Ensures that bank change slips are always complete and ready.
• 12. Promotes all bank promotions, if any.
• 13. Maintains logbook to note down any important information and endorsement.
• 14. Assists customer when available.
• 15. Oversees the store in the absence of Store Head/Leader.
