Job summary

2GO Group, Inc. is seeking a Cash Application Specialist to ensure timely posting of customer payments, balance cash with bank activity, and support audits. You will gather remittance details, apply receipts by invoice, and resolve payment exceptions in collaboration with the collections team.

Requires a finance or accounting degree and at least 2 years in accounts receivable and cash applications; strong written and verbal communication; ability to multitask and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Gather customer remittance information and post cash to the correct account by invoice.
• Receive and apply cash from bank accounts, and incoming wires/ACH from Treasury on a daily basis.
• Create short pays and deductions on customer accounts as directed by remittance advice.
• Daily balancing of cash posted versus cash receipts from the bank.
• Maintain cash receipts records and files for audits and required research.
• Assist with audits by providing supporting records and documentation.
• Respond and work with the collections team on customer payments and exceptions.
