South Pole is a global climate solutions company hiring a (Senior) Specialist, Carbon Projects Risk. Reporting to the Director, Risk, you will conduct first-level integrity risk assessments of carbon projects, perform KYC screenings, and help optimize risk processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree; environmental science/background bonus.
• 2–5 years of professional risk experience.
• Strong analytical and data-synthesis skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with spreadsheets and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Conduct first-level integrity risk assessments of carbon projects against internal standards.
• Perform first-level KYC screenings of carbon project partners and third parties.
• Draft client-facing integrity summaries and document findings.
• Lead the interface between the Risk function and the Portfolio team.
• Support enhancement, standardization and rollout of integrity assessment and KYC tools.
