Job summary

Unahco, Inc. in the Philippines is seeking an experienced Production/Engineering professional to lead production improvements across multiple lines.

You will monitor efficiency, conduct time-and-motion studies, and implement methods to raise yield while controlling costs. The role requires an engineering degree, professional license, strong leadership, and hands-on experience in machine maintenance, calibration, HACCP/GMP, and inventory management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/College Degree of Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Industrial).

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree of Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Industrial)

• Professional License (Passed Board/Bar/Professional License Exam)

• Must have a strong leadership skill and can work under pressure.

• Must be computer literate.

• With experience in the following:

• Machine maintenance

• Production processes on feed milling

• Material Inventory Management

• Knowledge on Calibration, HACCP/GMP, Basic Occupational Safety & Health preferred but not required

• Should be keen to details, a good planner and implementer.

• Innovative and goal-oriented.

• Willing to be assigned anywhere in the Philippines (Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao)

JOB DESCRIPTION

1. Performs job functions consistent with the corporate vision and mission statement and core values of the company.

2. Monitors and controls production efficiency and productivity; Implements methods and standards to improve working practices.

3. Prepares and collects actual time data sheet and productivity and efficiency database of each production line; conducts daily monitoring of production performance parameters such as efficiency, value added activity, and productivity; Analyzes data to generate information on productivity levels.

4. Conducts time and motion study, work simplification, and cycle / process lead-time reduction activities for manufacturing processes to generate efficiency and cost reduction.

5. Reviews and redesigns processes based on changes in production load; analyzes, develops, and implements new systems and work flows for the improvement of production yield; prepares flow charts to serve as guides for present and proposed work methods..

6. Monitors illumination, temperature, and humidity records in the production area; recommends adjustments to ensure that the physical work environment is conducive to workers’ productivity and maintenance of product quality.

7. Consults with the officers and staff of concerned departments to develop innovative process improvements to enhance quality, cost control, productivity, delivery, and safety dimensions in the production area.

8. Performs coordinating and monitoring activities for toll-manufactured products; undertakes work order reconciliation of all toll-manufactured products.

9. Provides technical specifications for process equipment and parts.

10. Participates in supply chain / customer concern meetings.

11. Participates in planning activities related to maintenance and improvement of production equipment and processes with regards to cost performance and quality issues; assists in monitoring compliance by all concerned with decision actions arrived at in connection with such improved plans.

12. Counterchecks regular preventive and corrective maintenance of machinery, equipment, and tools to avoid breakdown by conducting monthly running test, checking, and cleaning; conducts the production plant’s routine engineering and maintenance works.

13. Monitors overall equipment availability and reliability in terms of down-time, running time, and scrap materials analysis to ensure efficiency in their utilization.

14. Coordinates with suppliers or external repair service provider for machinery malfunction beyond internal capabilities for remediation. checks compliance with company requirements in terms of technical specification for repairs undertaken by external service providers.

15. Develops, installs, and maintains standards and procedures of the quality system (ISO 9001:2000) pertaining to plant operations.

16. Undertakes documentation and provides administrative support particularly in relation to bar code operations.
