Job summary

Highpoint Property Ventures is seeking a skilled CAD Operator/Draftsman to deliver accurate 2D/3D CAD, fabrication, and as-built drawings for construction projects nationwide. You will develop drawings for aluminium & glass, façades, cladding, furniture, and kitchen fit-outs while ensuring plans meet accuracy and constructability standards.

The role requires 2–3 years' experience, a relevant degree or diploma, and proficiency in AutoCAD with additional tools like SketchUp, Revit, and BIM

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Architecture, Drafting Technology, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• 2–3 years' experience as a CAD Operator, Draftsman, or Design Technician.
• Proficient in AutoCAD (2D & 3D); SketchUp, Revit, SolidWorks, or BIM is an advantage.
• Experience preparing shop drawings for construction, aluminium & glass, façade, cladding, furniture, kitchen cabinetry, or interior fit-out.
• Strong understanding of architectural and construction drawings.
• Ability to interpret engineering plans and specifications.
• Knowledge of construction standards and fabrication methods.
• Excellent attention to detail and time management.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, multi-project environment.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate 2D/3D CAD, shop, fabrication, and as-built drawings.
• Develop drawings for construction, aluminium & glass, façade, cladding, furniture, and kitchen projects.
• Review plans for accuracy and constructability.
• Coordinate with engineers, architects, estimators, production, and site teams.
• Revise drawings based on client and site requirements.
• Produce fabrication and installation drawings.
• Maintain drawing revisions and document control.
• Ensure compliance with standards and specifications.
• Assist in quantity take-offs and material estimates.
• Support projects with technical drafting and maintain organised drawing files.
