Responsibilities

• Ensure designs comply with building codes and zoning regulations.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and team members to meet specs.
• Organize and maintain CAD files and related documentation.
• Provide guidance to junior CAD designers when needed.

Job Summary

The duties and responsibilities of an Architectural Cad (Computer-Aided Design) Operator typically include a range of tasks related to the creation and modification of architectural designs by IPM Realty using Cad and Rendering Software.

• Create Architectural Drawings: Produce detailed architectural drawings, including plans, elevations, sections, and details based on sketches, specifications and other input from architects or clients.
• Drafting: Use CAD Software to draft and develop architectural designs according to project requirements and industry standards.
• Design Development: Assist Senior Architects in developing design Concepts into detailed drawings and models.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with Architects, Engineers,and other team members to ensure that designs meet project specifications and requirements.
• Technical Documentation: Prepare Documentation and specification related to architectural drawings, including material list, dimensions, and construction details.
• Visualization: Create 3D Models and renderings to help clients visualize architectural designs.
• Code compliance: Ensure that architectural designs comply with building codes, zoning regulations and other legal requirements.
• Revise and Modify Designs: Make revisions and modifications to architectural drawings as needed, based on feedback from architects, client or regulatory authorities.
• Quality Control: Review drawings and models for accuracy, completeness and adherence to project requirements.
• Communication: Effectively communicate design ideas and solutions to architects, client, contractors and other stakeholders.
• Client Interaction: Participate in meetings with clients to understand their needs, preferences and feedback regarding architectural design.
• File management: Organize and maintain CAD files and documentation related to architectural projects.
• Training and mentorship: provide guidance and mentorship to Jr Cad Designers or interns.
• Other task that the IPM Realty management may require.
