Job summary

EFCO Forming & Shoring Solutions seeks a CAD designer/engineer to develop designs using AutoCAD and Revit, creating erection drawings and detailed mechanical plans. You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy and clarity of drawings for manufacturing and warehouse applications.

Ideal candidates have a Civil/Construction/Structural engineering background, reading blueprints, and strong English communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent.
• Fresh graduates encouraged to apply.
• 1–4 years of relevant engineering experience is an advantage.
• General construction knowledge; ability to read and interpret technical drawings/blueprints.
• Demonstrate mechanical aptitude and basic mathematical calculations.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational and computer skills.
• Proficient in AutoCAD with strong Revit knowledge.
• Good command of English, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Carry out design and drafting using AutoCAD and Revit; gather data to develop designs.
• Create erection drawings for custom and standard projects.
• Generate detailed mechanical drawings for manufacturing and warehouse use.
• Enter equipment lists for projects and adjust as needed.
• liaise with warehouse and management to troubleshoot assembly issues and review drawings with relevant personnel.
• Perform other job-related duties and special projects as required.

Job description

• Carries out design / drafting assignments using AutoCad and REVIT. Investigates and procures all data required to develop a design.
• Creates erection drawings to be used in both custom and standard projects as assigned by direct reports. Works closely with all key personnel to ensure that drawings convey the correct information and are error free.
• Generates detailed mechanical drawings for manufacturing and warehouse applications.
• Enters equipment lists as needed for projects. Makes adjustments appropriately.
• Acts in a liaison capacity with warehouse to troubleshoot assembly problems. Reviews with Checker, District Engineer, Corporate Production Engineer or other management personnel as needed.
• Performs other job-related duties and special projects as required.

Job Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Civil/Construction/Structural or equivalent).
• Fresh graduates with a strong interest in the field are encouraged to apply.
• 1–4 years of relevant working experience in engineering (Civil/Construction/Structural) will be an added advantage.
• Possess general construction knowledge with the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Demonstrate good mechanical aptitude and ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and computer skills.
