Job summary

MicroSourcing is seeking a CAD CAM Mechanical Engineering Technician to join our onsite team in Pasay City. You will create CNC cutting programs, troubleshoot issues, and update drawings to ensure manufacturability and efficiency.

The role requires a BS in Mechanical Engineering or related background, proficiency with CAD/CAM software and SolidWorks, and experience in 2D/3D modeling. Night shift and direct fabrication interaction included.

Qualifications

• BS Mechanical Engineering or mechanical background.
• Master the CAD/CAM software parameters.
• Laser cutting CAM experience.
• Background in manufacturing process.
• 3D Modeling / 2D Drawing.
• SolidWorks experience.
• Microsoft Office.
• Press bending experience (an asset).
• AutoCAD (an asset).

Responsibilities

• Create CNC cutting programs using CAD/CAM software.
• Troubleshoot programming issues raised by production
• Keep program & cutting list current.
• Continuous improvement: improve programming process & get regular feedback from the production team to improve programming efficiency and the work results.
• Propose design changes based on manufacturing capabilities.
• Support engineering/methods teams with technical input on manufacturability.
• Coordinate with engineering, methods & production teams.
• Update, improve & revise products based on engineering changes.
• Execute 3D modeling and 2D drawings.
• Prepare fabrication drawings for our workshop.
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

• Background in manufacturing process.


• 3D Modeling / 2D Drawing.


• Relevant experience in SolidWorks.


• Microsoft Office.


• Press bending experience (an asset).


• AutoCAD (an asset).
