Job summary

Whitecloak in the Philippines seeks a software application developer who designs, builds, maintains, and supports client-driven applications across the full SDLC. You will troubleshoot issues, deliver patches, test, and provide live-system support to ensure stability, security and availability.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.
At least 2 years of GNU C/C++ development experience and the SDLC.
Knowledge of TCP/IP socket communication and multi-threading.
Knowledge of SQL and RDBMS.
Knowledge of XML.
Experience in UNIX environment.
Hands-on experience with version control and bug tracking systems.
Experience with databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, or IBM DB2.
Amenable to work in Makati (hybrid set-up).

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain applications based on client requirements
Troubleshoot application bugs and prepare patches
Conduct unit testing and performance testing on applications
Provide technical support for the live system
Work closely with the project team to develop applications throughout their life cycle according to coding standards and best practices
Tackle challenging functional and technical problems independently
Ensure application stability, security, and availability in adherence to company standards and guidelines
Engage with customers to solve technical and operational service requests
Assist the presales team with solutions and technical guidance
