Job summary

Avaloq is seeking a Software Engineer in Manila to ensure the stability and continuous improvement of our Web & Mobile Banking platform. You will work across development and operations to drive automation, resilience, and production support.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience in mobile application development (iOS and/or Android).
Strong knowledge of Kotlin, Kotlin Multiplatform, Swift, or Objective-C.
Experience in Software Engineering, DevOps, or Application Support roles.
Solid understanding of production environments, monitoring, and incident management.
Good knowledge of the mobile development lifecycle.
Experience integrating REST APIs, SDKs, and third-party libraries.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automation tools, and DevOps practices.
Hands-on experience with tools such as Jenkins, Gradle, Artifactory, Python, Groovy, Linux, and Bash.
Proficiency with modern platforms and frameworks such as Kubernetes, OpenShift, Ansible, ElasticSearch.
iOS/Android Store Lifecycle management.
Familiarity with cloud environments and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, client-oriented environment.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Full professional proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain mobile banking applications (iOS and/or Android).
Deliver high-quality, scalable, and reusable code.
Implement new features and enhance existing functionalities.
Ensure stable and efficient operation of the Mobile Banking platform.
Manage tickets end-to-end, including triage, impact analysis, troubleshooting, and resolution.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex issues and improve services.
Support CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
Maintain clear technical documentation and promote knowledge sharing.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders and manage expectations.
