Job summary

Ultra Clean Technology in the Philippines is seeking a Buyer III to manage planning, sourcing, purchasing, and expediting materials from approved local and international suppliers. You will ensure timely delivery, negotiate pricing, and support cost-reduction initiatives while maintaining quality standards.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s or Diploma in engineering or related fields, experience in manufacturing, and strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.

Qualifications

• Two years’ experience for a Bachelor’s degree or five years for a Diploma in related fields.
• Strong interpersonal and negotiation abilities are required.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, buy, source and expedite materials from local and overseas suppliers.
• Ensure on-time delivery and supplier quality compliance.
• Negotiate pricing and commercial terms with suppliers.
• Drive cost-reduction initiatives and supplier scorecards.
• Support inventory management, material availability and quality goals.

UCT is looking for a talented Buyer III to join us in Philippines

Buyer is responsible for planning, sourcing, purchasing, and expediting materials and commodities from approved local and international suppliers. Ensures timely delivery and compliance with quality requirements while negotiating pricing and commercial terms. Executes cost-reduction initiatives, manages supplier performance through scorecards, and supports objectives related to inventory control, cost savings, material availability, and quality management.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for planning, buying, sourcing and expediting materials, commodities from approved vendor lists both locally and overseas
• Ensure on-time delivery of materials from suppliers and meeting quality requirements
• Negotiate pricing, commercial terms with local and overseas suppliers
• Execute cost reduction initiatives
• Maintain and execute suppliers scorecard programs
• Work towards achieving given objectives such as inventory management, cost reduction, materials availability and quality management
• Other duties as required

Knowledge, Skills, Experience

• At least 2 years working experience for Bachelor's degree in Electrical / Mechanical or equivalent
• At least 5 years working experience for Diploma in Electrical / Mechanical or equivalent
• Knowledge of MRP system will be advantageous
• Able to perform in fast paced environment; Preferably experience from an manufacturing environment
• Possess good interpersonal and negotiation skills.
