Job summary

Ultra Clean Technology is seeking a Buyer III in the Philippines to manage planning, sourcing, purchasing and expediting materials from local and international suppliers. You will ensure timely delivery, quality compliance and cost-efficient terms while tracking supplier performance and supporting inventory control initiatives.

The role requires 2+ years with a Bachelor’s in Electrical/Mechanical or 5+ years with a Diploma in related fields, and a background in manufacturing is valued.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree as stated; Bachelor’s for 2+ years’ experience requirement and Diploma for 5+ years’ experience.
• Manufacturing environment experience preferred and relevant field knowledge.
• Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
• Knowledge of MRP systems is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Plan, buy, source and expedite materials from approved local and overseas vendors.
• Ensure on-time delivery and adherence to quality requirements.
• Negotiate pricing and commercial terms with suppliers.
• Maintain and run supplier scorecard programs.
• Support inventory, cost savings, material availability and quality objectives.
• Other duties as required.

Buyer is responsible for planning, sourcing, purchasing, and expediting materials and commodities from approved local and international suppliers. Ensures timely delivery and compliance with quality requirements while negotiating pricing and commercial terms. Executes cost-reduction initiatives, manages supplier performance through scorecards, and supports objectives related to inventory control, cost savings, material availability, and quality management.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for planning, buying, sourcing and expediting materials, commodities from approved vendor lists both locally and overseas
• Ensure on-time delivery of materials from suppliers and meeting quality requirements
• Negotiate pricing, commercial terms with local and overseas suppliers
• Maintain and execute suppliers scorecard programs
• Work towards achieving given objectives such as inventory management, cost reduction, materials availability and quality management
• Other duties as required

Knowledge, Skills, Experience:

• At least 2 years working experience for Bachelor's degree in Electrical / Mechanical or equivalent
• At least 5 years working experience for Diploma in Electrical / Mechanical or equivalent
• Knowledge of MRP system will be advantageous
• Able to perform in fast paced environment; Preferably experience from an manufacturing environment
• Possess good interpersonal and negotiation skills.
