The ideal candidate has a Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, 10+ years of experience, and proven leadership; knowledge of MRP is a plus. The role emphasizes data analysis, supplier relations, and adherence to quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of buyers to achieve 100% supplier on-time delivery and target inventory goals.
• Ensure purchase data (LT, AVL, SPQ/MOQ) compliance and accurate cost settings.
• Manage purchasing activities to avoid production disruptions and optimize loading.
• Improve escalation processes to resolve material shortages promptly.
• Continuously review purchasing processes to improve KPI metrics.
• Maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure timely delivery.
• Provide responsive support and risk assessment for critical parts.

UCT is looking for a talentedSr Manager, Purchasingto join us in Philippines!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• To lead a team of Buyers to achieve the key performance – 100% of supplier On Time Delivery (OTD) performance and manage the Inventory goals and target.
• Ensure the compliance of purchase data such as LT, AVL & SPQ/MOQ and cost setting as required in the system.
• Perform, supervise and evaluate all purchasing activities to ensure no disruption of supply to production plan and loading.
• Manage/improve the escalation process to resolve material shortages in timely manner.
• Continuously reviewing in purchasing processes to improve Buyers’ key performance in place, pull, push and cancellation metrics.
• Establish and maintain good rapport with suppliers to ensure the effectiveness in delivery.
• Support and responsiveness.
• Risk Assessment of material positioning for important / critical parts by customer.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Strong purchasing knowledge including processes, tool, practices.
• Good data analysis capability to identify issue, develop solutions and implementation.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Educational/Certification Requirement:

• Diploma / Degree in Supply Chain Management or its equivalent.

Experience Requirement:

• Knowledge of MRP system will be advantageous.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in manufacturing industry.
• Prior experience in leading a team preferred.
• Able to work in a fast paced environment.
