Job summary

Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) in Manila is seeking a Business Risk Officer for the Unsecured Lending and Cards group to support risk culture and awareness under the Bank's Risk Management Program.

You will coordinate risk reviews, monitor compliance with laws and policies, and liaise with Internal Audit and regulators, while ensuring timely dissemination of policy updates and risk initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience in risk management and compliance within banking is preferred.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and risk assessment frameworks.
• Ability to communicate risk effectively to various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, review, and monitor implementation of risk management across the Unsecured Lending and Cards group.
• Ensure dissemination of new policies and regulations and communicate risk initiatives.
• Support portfolio/product reviews, internal/external audits, and regulatory examinations.
• Establish clear communication between units, Internal Audit, Risk Management Office, Compliance Office, and regulators.

Job Description:

The Business Risk Officer – Unsecured Lending and Cards supports the Business Risk – Consumer and BB Head in building and implementing risk management culture and risk awareness guided by the programs and objectives of the Risk Management Program of the Bank across the Unsecured Lending and Cards Group.

Duties And Responsabilities

• 3.1. Coordinates, reviews, and monitors implementation of the Bank’s Risk Management,
• Head, Business Risk -Consumer and BB
• Business Risk Officer -ULC
• Business Risk Officer -RLBG
• Business Risk Officer -BB
• Compliance and AML Programs, including but not limited to all Compliance and Risk Assessment Documents (e.g. Business Recovery Plan, Compliance Matrix, RCSA, etc.)
• 3.2. Proactive identification and monitoring of credit and operational risks that could result to the imposition of legal or regulatory sanctions, financial loss, or loss to reputation as a consequence of the failure to comply with all applicable laws, regulations, codes of conduct and standard of good practice.
• 3.3. Ensures proper information dissemination on matters concerning the Unsecured Lending and Cards Group, including new policies and regulations, changes in processes, roll‑out of risk -related initiatives, lectures, and trainings as needed.
• 3.4. Supports and coordinates with Unsecured Lending and Cards units during the conduct of portfolio/product review, internal or external audit, and regulatory examination.
• 3.5. Establishes a clear and open communication line between the Unsecured Lending and Cards units, oversight units such as Internal Audit, Risk Management Office, and Compliance Office, and the Bank’s external auditors and regulators.
