Hands‑on business development, prospecting, qualification and opportunity ownership
We will be needing someone with 2-4 years B2B hunting/business development experience. This will be reporting to the Sales Director.
Work Arrangement: Makati Office as needed; regular client-facing meetings across Metro Manila ; Mostly Remote
Build a repeatable sales pipeline for Client’s IT staff-augmentation business by identifying organizations with real IT manpower pain, qualifying opportunities, conducting initial discovery, and driving each opportunity to a clear next step. The role multiplies the Sales Director's capacity rather than acting as an administrative assistant
Core Responsibilities:
- Prospecting: Build targeted account lists; identify CIOs, Heads of IT, IT managers, HR/Talent Acquisition leaders and other relevant decision‑makers; use LinkedIn, phone, email, referrals, founder networks, hiring signals and industry events.
- Qualification: Determine the actual manpower problem: role/skill, number of resources, urgency, duration, budget/process, decision‑makers and willingness to consider external resources.
- Discovery meetings: Independently conduct initial client meetings, understand the requirement and determine whether an opportunity deserves further investment.
- Opportunity ownership: Maintain responsibility for follow‑up, next actions and momentum even after the Sales Director joins the deal.
- Sales Director collaboration: Bring serious opportunities for commercial strategy, solution shaping, pricing, proposals, negotiation and closing.
- Pipeline discipline: Keep CRM/pipeline records current. Every active opportunity must have a status, owner, next action and next‑action date.
- Account expansion: After an initial deployment, identify additional teams, skills or projects where Client can provide resources
Minimum qualifications and skills
- 2–4 years of B2B sales/business‑development experience preferred; evidence of actual prospecting is more important than title or seniority.
- Comfortable with cold calls, LinkedIn/email outreach, referrals and face‑to‑face client meetings.
- Strong follow‑up discipline and persistence without becoming indiscriminate or spam‑oriented.
- Able to qualify needs and conduct a credible first discovery meeting independently.
- Working familiarity with common IT roles such as developers, system/network administrators, cloud engineers and service desk/support.
- Clear written and verbal communication; credible client‑facing presence.
- CRM or structured pipeline‑management discipline.
- Commercial curiosity: able to understand why a customer is struggling to hire and what delay or wrong hiring costs the business.
