The Business Development Representative (BDR) helps strengthen the sales pipeline by engaging potential clients, refining Salesforce data, and executing targeted outreach strategies. This cross‑functional role bridges sales and marketing.

Qualifications

  • Experience with lead development or prospecting from first contact through qualification.
  • At least 1 year in sales or inside sales roles, ideally B2B.
  • Strong sales‑oriented communication skills, building rapport quickly.
  • Solid negotiation and objection‑handling skills early in the cycle.
  • Passion for creating meaningful connections and value for prospects.
  • Admin and organizational skills with metrics, CRM, and outreach tools.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

  • Revisit neglected or unresponsive leads, churned or lost accounts, and identify opportunities in Salesforce.
  • Generate high-quality leads through personalized outreach using sales engagement tools.
  • Participate in key industry events, virtual or in person, to build relationships.
  • Coordinate pre-event activities by scheduling meetings and engagement strategies.
  • Clean, optimize, and refine CRM data with sales teams to improve targeting.
  • Partner with Market Intelligence to build TALs and inform sales strategies.
  • Support Account Executives with materials, demos, follow-ups, and proposals.

What This Role Is All About

As a Business Development Representative (BDR), you play an important role in strengthening the sales pipeline by engaging potential clients, optimizing Salesforce data, and executing targeted outreach strategies. You will be is a dynamic, cross-functional role that bridges sales and marketing, with a strong focus on lead recycling, targeted outreach, event support, and collaboration across teams.

What You’ll Do
  • Revisit neglected or unresponsive leads, including churned or lost accounts, and identify new opportunities within Salesforce.
  • Generate high-quality leads through personalized outreach using sales engagement tools and independent prospect research.
  • Participate in key industry events, both virtually and in person, to generate interest and build relationships.
  • Coordinate pre-event activities by scheduling meetings and executing pre-event engagement strategies with sales and marketing teams.
  • Clean, optimize, and refine CRM data in collaboration with sales teams to improve target account selection and identify whitespace opportunities.
  • Partner with Market Intelligence to build Target Account Lists (TAL) and leverage insights to support sales strategies.
  • Support Account Executives through sales materials, demo preparation, follow-ups, and proposal-related tasks as part of the Sales Assistant program.
What Makes You a Strong Fit
  • Experience with lead development or prospecting, from first contact through qualification.
  • At least 1 year of experience in sales or inside sales roles, ideally in a business-to-business (B2B) environment.
  • Strong sales‑oriented communication skills, with the ability to quickly build rapport and uncover customer needs.
  • Solid negotiation and objection‑handling skills, even at early stages of the sales cycle.
  • Passion for creating meaningful connections and helping prospects find value in the right solution.
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills, comfortable working with metrics, customer relationship management (CRM) systems, and outreach tools to drive results.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
