WalterMart Supermarket, Incorporated is seeking a Merchandise Planning & Control Manager (Merchandising Data Analyst) to oversee merchandise and vendor databases, pricing, and vendor management. The role requires leadership of the MPC team and strong experience with JDA MMS and ARC BI.

The position involves managing reporting, target setting, store opening support, system administration, and cost/price adjustments to ensure data integrity across the network.

Qualifications

• Graduate of any four-year course, preferably Computer Science or Industrial Engineering.
• Must have background in handling Merchandising Systems such as JDA, MMS and ARC BI.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience related to Merchandise Planning & Control in retail supermarket or FMCG.

Responsibilities

• Reports Generation: Ensure accurate and timely release of reports to concerned departments.
• Target Setting: Prepare targets per category and structure them for management.
• Store Opening: Check price adjustments and ensure POS scanning accuracy during store openings.
• Administrative: Check database setups, discounts, vendors, cost adjustments and price changes in the system.
• People Management: Lead a team of supervisors and associates under Merchandise Planning & Control.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Merchandise Planning & Control Manager (Merchandising Data Analyst) is primarily responsible for merchandise & vendor database, pricing, and vendor management. He/She oversees the maintenance of the following systems: JDA MMS, ARC BI and Vendor Portal.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

Reports Generation

• Ensure accurate and timely release of reports to concerned departments
• Provide initial analysis of sales report, which includes sales growth and margin
• Provide meaningful reports that can improve system processes

Target Setting

• Prepare targets per category to Operations and Merchandising
• Structure the target in terms of the desired sales growth of the management
• Ensure accurate and timely release of sales target to concerned departments

Store Opening

• Check all price adjustment that should take effect on the store opening
• Ensure that all times at the selling area are scannable by performing Scan Testing
• Ensure that there is no price discrepancy between the actual price and the POS price
• Provide support to Operations and Merchandising teams during set-up
• Take immediate action to all reported concerns and discrepancies

Administrative

• Check all database set up in system
• Check all discounts that were encoded in the system
• Check all vendors created In the system
• Check and release of all cost adjustments done in the system
• Check and release of price adjustments and deal pricing

People Management

• Overall lead of the department; Manage a team of supervisors & associates under Merchandise Planning & Control

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
