IT Business Analyst

Citco Group of Companies seeks an experienced IT Business Analyst to provide global business analysis support within the IT Group, working across multiple business units and the Technology Group.

Responsibilities

• Consult with stakeholders through workshops and elicitation sessions to gather and document comprehensive requirements.
• Work with SMEs and business leads to understand current state processes, identify gaps, risks, and pain points.
• Analyze and model business processes to create a complete picture of workflows.
• Write clear, functional and non‑functional user stories and acceptance criteria for multiple product owners.
• Coordinate cross‑functional business process mapping initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
• Use process modeling techniques to capture requirements and collaborate with Product Owners and Development teams on process improvements.
• Identify, track, and escalate risks and issues to the Project Coordinator, Project Manager, and stakeholders.
• Produce detailed specifications for existing and new operational procedures and related system functionality.
• Develop and maintain knowledge of business rules and documentation of business processes to ensure accuracy, consistency, legal compliance, and data integrity.
• Coordinate with QA teams to provide direction for test plans and test cases.
• Participate in testing and release processes with business units for new and improved applications.

About You

• Bachelor’s degree in technology or a related business/financial field with appropriate business knowledge.
• Professional certification such as CCBA or equivalent (recommended).
• Strong analytical, illustrative, and communication skills; ability to manage multiple stakeholder expectations.
• Good understanding of technology trends and their application in the industry.
• Strategic mindset with the ability to translate business goals into actionable plans.
• Ability to work in fast‑paced, complex business and IT environments.
• Experience using both agile and waterfall methodologies.
• High initiative and proactive attitude with the willingness to take responsibility independently.

Previous Work Experience

• Minimum two years of experience gathering, reviewing, and analyzing business requirements, preferably within the financial sector.
• Experience with JIRA, Confluence, Oracle ERP, SSRS, SharePoint, Business Objects, SQL Reporting Services, and other ERP solutions.
• Working knowledge of MS Office products, including pivot tables and data import/presentation.
• Experience with project management products, requirements management tools, and related processes.
• Ability to set priorities, be flexible, and work both collaboratively and autonomously.
• Experience coaching and mentoring junior business analysts.
• Capability to travel as needed.
