OCS Philippines is seeking a Building Engineer to oversee operation, maintenance, and repair of building systems including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing. The role ensures safety, efficiency, and code compliance across facilities.
Responsibilities include inspections, diagnosing issues, energy monitoring, vendor coordination, and maintaining records. A PE license or relevant certifications are preferred; 3–5 years in building maintenance is typical for applicants.
The Building Engineer is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and structural components. This role ensures that facilities are safe, efficient, and compliant with all applicable codes and standards.
Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety).
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and structural issues promptly.
Monitor energy usage and implement cost-saving measures.
Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs or projects.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
Respond to emergency maintenance requests and troubleshoot issues effectively.
Assist in planning and executing building improvement projects.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical (or equivalent experience).
Experience: Minimum 3-5 years in building maintenance or engineering.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Familiarity with building automation systems and energy management.
Certifications: Professional Engineer license or relevant certifications (preferred).
