Job summary

ABSI is seeking a Building Engineer to ensure all equipment and facilities operate efficiently and safely within mall/retail environments. The role focuses on preventive maintenance, energy savings, and cost optimization.

The candidate will inspect equipment, manage work orders, and monitor construction activities while ensuring adherence to safety guidelines and project scopes. A relevant engineering degree and licensure are required, with 2–3 years in property management or similar sectors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Licensed Mechanical Engineer or Licensed Electrical Engineer.
• 2–3 years of working experience in Mall/Retail or Property Management industries.

Responsibilities

• Ensure equipment and facilities are in good working condition to achieve customer satisfaction and cost efficiencies.
• Conduct regular inspection of all equipment and facilities.
• Implement preventive maintenance and undertake corrective maintenance.
• Implement energy-conservation and cost-saving measures while monitoring utilities consumption.
• Track and communicate work request status and completion.
• Monitor construction works and ensure guidelines are followed.
• Prepare/review plans, estimates, scope of works for various projects.
• Monitor safety programs to prevent exposure and decrease liability.
