Job summary

Wood in the Philippines is seeking a Work Pack Lead to develop and manage comprehensive work packs and SOWs for brownfield power plant projects and maintenance activities. The role requires coordinating multidisciplinary inputs, conducting field verifications, and ensuring alignment with safety, technical, and cost objectives.

Responsibilities include defining scopes, reviewing technical deliverables, and supporting tendering and contractor engagement.

Qualifications

• Licensed Professional Engineer preferred.
• Certifications in work pack development, construction management, or brownfield engineering.
• Minimum 12 years' engineering experience with at least 5 years in work pack/SOW for brownfield projects.
• Experience developing fit-for-purpose project definition packages and SOWs for heavy industrial facilities.
• Strong background in field verification and constructability reviews.
• Familiarity with coal-fired power plant systems and brownfield modification challenges.
• Experience coordinating multi-discipline inputs into a single work pack package.
• Knowledge of engineering standards and document control requirements is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of work packs, project definition packages, and SOWs for brownfield industrial and power projects.
• Prepare scope definition documentation including requirements, assumptions, exclusions, interfaces, and contractor deliverables.
• Conduct field verification activities, site investigations, and constructability reviews.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary inputs to ensure complete and executable work package deliverables.
• Interface with operations, maintenance, engineering, procurement, and project teams to align requirements with objectives.
• Support tendering and contractor engagement through detailed scopes of work and technical docs.
• Review engineering deliverables, drawings, and project documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Identify risks, constraints, interfaces, and execution challenges for brownfield modifications.
• Ensure compliance with project procedures, standards, and document control.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring on work pack development.
• Participate in project planning and packaging activities for efficient execution.
• Liaise with client reps and stakeholders to ensure requirements are understood and met.
• Support business development with scope input, estimates, and technical input for proposals.
• Promote continuous improvement in work pack practices and standards.
• Maintain awareness of industry standards and regulatory requirements affecting facilities.
