About the role
The Branch Supervisor is responsible for managing the day-to-day clinical and administrative operations of a specific branch laboratory. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality diagnostic services, maintains compliance with regulatory standards, and supports staff development and customer satisfaction. The Branch Supervisor reports to the AVP for Operations and works closely with technical and administrative teams to achieve operational excellence.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee daily the smooth operations of all services, ensuring that processes are efficient, accurate and aligned with quality standards.
- Monitor workflows and help prioritize tasks to ensure all services objectives are met in a timely manner.
- Monitor inventory levels and manage procurement of laboratory supplies and equipment.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality and safety standards.
- Ensure all diagnostic tests are performed accurately and efficiently, following established protocols.
- Implement and maintain quality assurance programs to ensure high standards of accuracy and reliability.
- Conduct regular quality control checks and audits to ensure compliance with internal and external standards.
- Provide leadership and direction in daily operations, ensuring all the team is working cohesively and meeting organizational skills.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and handle performance issues effectively.
- Deliver coaching and develop opportunities for all the staff to ensure adherence to best practices, safety standards, knowledge and technical skills.
