Job Summary
The Shell Gas Station Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the gasoline station, ensuring smooth workflow, excellent customer service, accurate cash handling, and compliance with Shell brand standards and safety regulations. The supervisor manages staff, maintains inventory, monitors fuel operations, and ensures a safe and clean environment for customers and employees.
Key Responsibilities
1. Daily Operations Management
- Supervise all station activities, including fueling, cashiering, and convenience store operations.
- Ensure the station is clean, organized, and compliant with Shell standards.
- Monitor forecourt and store operations throughout the shift.
2. Staff Supervision
- Supervise pump attendants, cashiers, and other service staff.
- Prepare shift schedules and manage attendance.
- Train staff in customer service, safety, and station procedures.
- Address performance issues and support a positive work environment.
3. Customer Service
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and concerns professionally.
- Ensure fast, friendly, and efficient service.
- Promote Shell products, loyalty programs, and promotions.
4. Cash & Inventory Control
- Monitor and reconcile daily sales, cash drawers, POS transactions, and credit card payments.
- Oversee inventory of fuel, lubricants and supplies.
- Coordinate ordering and restocking of products to prevent shortages.
5. Fuel Management
- Monitor fuel levels, deliveries, and pump operations.
- Check for fuel quality issues or equipment malfunctions.
- Ensure accurate metering and proper fuel handling procedures.
6. Safety & Compliance
- Enforce Shell safety policies, including fire prevention, spill control, and emergency procedures.
- Conduct daily safety checks and report hazards immediately.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and environmental standards.
7. Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare end-of-shift and daily operational reports.
- Document incidents, maintenance issues, and customer feedback.
- Coordinate with the Station Manager for operational updates and improvements.
Skills & Qualifications
Required
- Experience in retail or supervisory roles.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of POS systems and cash handling.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Preferred
- Experience in fuel station operations.
- Knowledge of Shell brand standards and safety protocols.
- Basic mechanical understanding of pumps and forecourt equipment.
