Job summary

Merck Group in the Philippines seeks a seasoned Business Process Expert (BPE) ERP Deployment focused on Account to Report (A2R) and General Ledger in SAP. You will support A2R processes, document solutions, and help plan SAP-template setups and rollouts in a global team.

Ideal candidates have 6+ years in finance, SAP FI GL, and project support experience, with strong English communication and willingness to travel about 10% annually.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in finance/accounting/controlling processes and SAP FI – General Ledger; operative knowledge in reporting and/or FI/CO modules is a plus.
• Proven track record in supporting SAP FI projects (implementation, data migration testing)
• Strong understanding of General Ledger, finance requirements and processes
• Excellent English communication and presentation skills; German/French an asset

Responsibilities

• Perform all GL related operative activities for A2R in ERP deployment projects.
• Support cross-functional project members with A2R expertise and create documentation/instructions.
• Coordinate day-to-day project activities like SAP-template setup and rollouts.
• Collaborate with IT, BPAs, Process Experts, GL Accountants, O2C, I2P, etc.
• Continuously improve processes towards standardization and harmonization.

Your Role

• We are looking for a skilled Business Process Expert (BPE) ERP Deployment with expertise in Account to Report (A2R) – General Ledger to join our dynamic international team
• As BPE ERP Deployment within the area of General Ledger, you perform all general ledger related operative activities for A2R processes in ERP deployment projects as required.
• You will support cross-functional project members with A2R expertise and create documentation and instructions as well as support fixing identified issues.
• In addition, and in close alignment with the respective ERP deployment project manager, you coordinate and plan all day-to-day project activities like in SAP-template set-up and subsequent rollouts.
• The position is part of the GES Functional Solutions FP&A organization; however, you will closely collaborate with other teams (like IT, BPAs, Process Experts, GL Accountants, O2C, I2P, etc.).
• Associated with your role, you leverage your expertise to continuously improve processes towards standardization and harmonization to further increase efficiency.

Who You Are

• University degree in accounting or business administration
• 6+ years of meaningful work experience in finance/accounting/controlling processes and SAP module FI - General Ledger; operative knowledge in Reporting and/or other FI/CO related modules is a plus
• Proven track record in supporting projects (implementation, process & data migration testing) ideally in full life cycle of SAP module FI
• Deep understanding of operational General Ledger, finance aspects and requirements
• Expertise in other SAP-module FI or CO is an advantage
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to review and interpret data, detect problems and determine best solution and preventative measures to mitigate future risks
• Strong team-player and goal oriented with experiences in international work environment supplemented by intercultural competencies
• Confident in acting and working independently
• Excellent English communication (oral and written) and presentation skills; other languages (like German, French, etc.) would be an asset
• Flexibility & willingness for regular business trips – around 10% per year
