Job summary

NIU Professionals, Inc. is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to safely and efficiently operate a boom truck on telecommunications or construction sites. You will perform pre-operation inspections, load and unload materials, and coordinate with field teams while traveling to project locations.

A valid professional driver’s license and physical fitness are essential; NC II Heavy Equipment Operation is an advantage. Safety-conscious candidates are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience operating a boom truck or similar heavy equipment.
• Knowledgeable in safe lifting, loading, and unloading procedures.
• Willing to work in the field and travel to project sites.
• Physically fit and safety-conscious.
• Experience in telecommunications, construction, or utility projects is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Operate boom truck equipment safely and efficiently.
• Load unload and transport materials and equipment to project sites.
• Assist in lifting and positioning telecommunications poles cables and other materials.
• Conduct preoperation inspections and report equipment issues.
• Follow safety protocols and proper lifting procedures.
• Coordinate with field teams and supervisors during site activities.
• Maintain equipment cleanliness and basic operational records.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
