Job summary

Converge ICT Solutions Inc. in Butuan City is seeking a skilled Boom Truck Driver / Operator to safely drive, operate the boom truck with hydraulic crane, and support telecommunications installation and maintenance projects.

You will perform pre-operation site inspections, ensure truck stabilization, assist field technicians with aerial equipment hoisting, and maintain daily vehicle checks while adhering to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma, vocational certificate, or equivalent.
• Licensing: Valid Professional Driver’s License with appropriate restriction codes (Heavy Vehicle / Articulated) and relevant crane/boom operator certification.
• Experience: 2+ years of hands-on experience operating boom trucks, hydraulic cranes, or similar heavy equipment (telecom or utility sector experience is a strong advantage).
• Skills: Strong understanding of load capacities, hand signals, rigging techniques, and site safety protocols.
• Physical Capability: Good hand-eye coordination, physical stamina, and comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Vehicle & Crane Operation: Safely drive, maneuver, and operate the boom truck and hydraulic crane to transport, lift, and position heavy machinery, poles, and equipment on job sites.
• Site Preparation & Rigging: Perform pre-operation site inspections, ensure proper truck stabilization (outriggers), and verify all load rigging and hoisting equipment are securely fastened.
• Field Support: Assist field technicians and line crews with aerial equipment hoisting, cable utility work, and site maintenance tasks.
• Equipment Maintenance & Inspection: Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, conduct basic routine maintenance, and promptly report any mechanical faults or repairs needed.
• Safety & Compliance: Adhere strictly to company safety protocols, local traffic laws, overhead clearance rules, and occupational safety standards during all lifting and driving operations.
