Job summary

TOA Global Pty in Cebu, Philippines is seeking an experienced Intermediate Bookkeeper to manage BAS/IAS lodgments, reconcile client ledgers, and provide GST/PAYG guidance. You will supervise the Cebu bookkeeping team and deliver cloud accounting training across modern platforms.

The role emphasizes leadership in Australian statutory compliance, accurate reporting, and ongoing client support with a daytime schedule at our Cebu facility.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years in bookkeeping and Australian accounting compliance.
• Registered BAS Agent with TPB preferred.
• Professional membership in ICB/CPA/IPA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and lodge BAS and IAS with strict ATO compliance.
• Reconcile client balance sheets, prepare financial statements, and perform ledger clean-ups.
• Provide GST and PAYG guidance and liaise with the ATO on BAS matters.
• Direct, supervise, and mentor Cebu office staff while delivering cloud accounting training.

We are seeking an experienced, leadership-minded Intermediate Bookkeeper to join our growing team in Cebu. You will manage statutory compliance lodgments, reconcile accounts, provide technical GST and PAYG guidance, and help supervise and direct members of the local bookkeeping team.

Your Impact

• BAS & IAS Compliance: Prepare and lodge Business Activity Statements (BAS) and Instalment Activity Statements (IAS), ensuring strict compliance with ATO regulations, deadlines, and reporting requirements.
• Account Reconciliation & Reporting: Reconcile client balance sheet accounts, prepare financial statements, maintain meticulous financial records, and perform ledger clean-ups.
• Advisory & ATO Liaison: Provide practical advice on GST, PAYG withholding, and related tax obligations, while liaising directly with the ATO on behalf of clients regarding BAS-related matters.
• Team Supervision & Client Support: Assist in directing, supervising, and mentoring team members in the Cebu office, while delivering software training and ongoing support to clients on modern cloud accounting systems.

What You Bring

• The Experience: Minimum of 5 years of solid experience in bookkeeping and Australian accounting compliance.
• Education & Credentials: Registered BAS Agent with the Tax Practitioners Board (TPB); Certificate IV in Bookkeeping/Accounting and professional membership (ICB, CPA, IPA) are preferred.
• Technical Mastery: High proficiency in leading cloud accounting software platforms, including Xero, MYOB, and QuickBooks.
• Core Competencies: In-depth knowledge of GST and PAYG; exceptional attention to detail; strong written and verbal English communication skills; and a collaborative, team-first leadership approach.
