Deployed Philippines Inc. is seeking an experienced bookkeeper to support UK and Netherlands entities from the Philippines. You will perform bank reconciliations, process supplier invoices, manage receivables, and ensure VAT compliance across UK/EU rules using Xero.
Maintain meticulous electronic audit trails, assist with month-end tasks, and provide ad-hoc reporting to the Finance Director. Strong Excel skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work across two legal entities are essential.
The client is a premier international supply partner specializing in the global sourcing, logistics, and distribution of branded fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) at scale. Operating across the UK, Europe, and global markets via dual legal entities in the UK and the Netherlands, the company provides structured, discreet, and high-volume supply chain solutions to retail, wholesale, and distribution channels.
Core Bookkeeping & Financial Operations
Bank Reconciliations: Perform accurate, routine bank reconciliations for both UK and Netherlands entities using Xero.
Accounts Payable & Receivable: Precisely process and post supplier invoices with correct account coding and tax treatment, while generating and managing customer sales invoices.
Payment Matching: Reconcile incoming customer payments and outgoing supplier disbursements against open invoices.
Cross-Border Tax Compliance: Review and apply correct UK and EU/Netherlands VAT regulations to both purchase and sales invoices.
Issue Resolution: Actively investigate and resolve discrepancies in ledger balances, payments, and bank transactions.
Document Management: Maintain immaculate, well-organized electronic audit trails and financial documentation.
General Finance Support: Assist the Finance Director with ad-hoc reporting, administrative tasks, and month-end preparation.
Credit Control & Ledger Management
Aged Debtors: Monitor outstanding customer balances and manage the aged debtor ledger to minimize overdue accounts.
Customer Liaison: Professionally follow up with clients to secure timely payments and resolve billing queries.
Proven track record in bookkeeping, accounts administration, or an assistant accountant role.
Hands-on experience performing routine bank, payment gateway, and transactional reconciliations.
Clear understanding of core double-entry bookkeeping, purchase ledgers, and sales ledgers.
Working familiarity with basic UK and EU VAT guidelines and invoice compliance.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage financial records across two distinct legal entities accurately.
Confident, tactful, and clear spoken/written communication skills for credit control and customer outreach.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and standard office productivity suites.
Direct hands-on experience using Xero. (Preferred)
Experience working within UK/EU accounting practices, international tax structures, or cross-border trade. (Preferred)
Background in high-volume wholesale, import/export, or Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG). (Preferred)
