Job summary

Boomering Inc. is hiring a Bookkeeper with 2–4 years of Australian bookkeeping experience to support a Perth-based accounting firm from a work-from-home setup. You will reconcile daily transactions, handle payroll in line with Australian awards, and prepare BAS/IAS and financial statements for review.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s in accounting/finance and strong Xero/MYOB skills. Industry tools like Karbon, XPM, Dext, Hubdoc and related apps are valued.

Schedule: Full-Time | Australian Business Hours (Perth, WA)

Salary Package: PHP 50,000–55,000

We are looking for a qualified, detail-oriented Bookkeeper with 2 to 4 years of hands-on Australian bookkeeping experience to join a progressive, Perth-based accounting firm serving a diverse portfolio of Australian small-to-medium businesses. You will operate as a direct extension of the firm’s Perth team. Your main responsibility is to keep client accounts accurate, reconciliations up to date daily, and files carefully prepared for the onshore accountants to review and lodge.

Qualifications:

• Qualified bookkeeper; a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or a similar discipline is strongly preferred.
• 2 to 4 years of proven Australian bookkeeping experience, ideally within an accounting or bookkeeping firm.
• Strong, hands-on experience with Xero (must have).
• Working experience with MYOB (must have).
• Good experience in Australian payroll, including awards, leave entitlements, superannuation and payroll tax.
• Sound knowledge of Australian bookkeeping compliance, including GST, BAS and IAS.
• Experience with Karbon and Xero Practice Manager (XPM) for workflow and time recording (required).
• Experience with ServiceM8, Deputy and/or Employment Hero is a plus.
• Familiarity with Dext or Hubdoc is an advantage.
• Exposure to individual and company tax returns (ITRs and CTRs) is a bonus.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy and organisation, with the ability to manage multiple client files to deadline.

As a Bookkeeper, you will:

• Complete daily bank reconciliations across client files in Xero and MYOB.
• Match receipts, invoices and purchase orders using automated data-capture tools such as Dext or Hubdoc.
• Process weekly, fortnightly or monthly payroll, ensuring accurate tracking of hours, awards and leave entitlements.
• Prepare and reconcile payroll tax obligations for client businesses.
• Conduct monthly balance sheet reconciliations, including payroll, superannuation, clearing accounts and GST liabilities.
• Prepare draft Business Activity Statements (BAS) and Instalment Activity Statements (IAS) for review by the firm’s registered tax agents.
• Produce monthly profit and loss statements, balance sheets and cash flow reports for client-facing account managers.
• Record time and manage jobs in Karbon and XPM.
• Prepare client files for onshore review and lodgement.
• Assist with individual and company tax return preparation when required.
