Job summary

SMC Repairs and Maintenance, Inc. is seeking a qualified maintenance engineer to operate, maintain and repair boiler systems and hatchery equipment. The role involves inspections, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance to keep critical systems running smoothly.

You will ensure electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems are functioning safely, document repairs, and manage spare parts inventory in a stringent hatchery environment.

Qualifications

• Registered Mechanical Engineer (RMeE) or Certified Plant Mechanic (CPM) is required.
• At least 1 year of experience in plant maintenance is preferred.
• Knowledge of boiler, electrical systems, motors, pumps and basic plumbing is essential.
• Ability to operate and maintain hand and power tools efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and repair boiler systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Conduct routine inspections, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance of hatchery equipment and machinery.
• Ensure proper functioning of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.
• Assist in diagnosing and resolving equipment failures to minimize downtime.
• Perform welding, carpentry, and other general maintenance tasks as required.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance schedules, and spare parts inventory.
• Follow safety protocols and company regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
