Job summary

Container Corporation of the Philippines is seeking a dedicated Boiler Operator to ensure a stable steam supply for PM1 and PM3. The role involves monitoring boiler parameters hourly, supervising the coal feeder, and performing routine maintenance to prevent downtime.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of boiler operation experience and are proficient with MS Office. Open to graduates or undergraduates, with duties including record-keeping, water quality control, and supporting the supervisor

Responsibilities

• Monitor boiler parameters hourly and adjust as needed.
• Supervise the coal feeder.
• Record coal usage and station power per shift.
• Inspect chain grate alignment each shift.
• Maintain boiler water to plant standard requirements.
• Ensure cleanliness and orderliness of softener area.
• Relieve supervisor in their absence.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

About the role

The boiler operator is under the direct supervision of the Coal Fired Boiler Head. He is responsible for the continuous supply of stable steam pressure for PM1 and PM3, do the routine visual inspections of all boiler auxiliary equipment and do on the run preventive maintenance to assure the continuous and trouble free operation.

Key responsibilities

• Supervises the coal feeder
• Hourly monitoring of boiler parameters and make necessary adjustment if needed
• Record Coal Usages and station power usages every shift
• Regular inspection of chain grate alignment every shift
• Responsible for maintaining boiler water at plant standard requirements
• Responsible for the cleanliness and orderliness of softener area
• Act as reliever in the absence of the supervisor
• May perform other duties that may be assigned from time to time

About you

• Open to both graduates and undergraduates
• At least 1 year experience in the same capacity
• Able to use MS office Programs such as Excel, Word
