Job summary

WSP in Manila is seeking a BIM Technician to support 3D BIM delivery across projects. You will handle drafting, detailing, and coordination using Revit, Navisworks and Revisto, ensuring timely, accurate BIM drawings and models.

You will collaborate with engineers and design teams to resolve technical design issues and maintain QA standards. The role requires 1–4 years in related disciplines, a engineering background, and the ability to work independently within a team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Working towards engineering registration within jurisdiction.
• 1–4 years’ experience in Communications/ICT, Security or Audio-Visual disciplines.
• High level drafting and detailing skills with developing 3D Revit skills.
• Ability to undertake key technical tasks independently.
• Proficient in design software and ability to contribute to design resolutions with the team.

Responsibilities

• Comply with all role-specific SHEQ obligations.
• Understand BIM requirements and implement BIM protocols.
• Produce BIM drawings and models to agreed deadlines.
• Coordinate 3D interdisciplinary BIM software, review and checking.
• Develop general arrangement drawings from engineers' sketches into coordinated details.
• Prepare room layouts, sections, and coordinated services drawings.
• Ensure drawings and registration systems meet specifications and standards.
• Follow QA, document control, and CDM guidelines.
• Deliver project tasks on-time with proactive communication with leads/design team.
• Assist senior BIM Technicians and Coordinators with problem analysis.

Main Activities and Responsibilities (including but not limited to)

• Comply with all role specific SHEQ obligations.


• Understand BIM requirements and implement suitable BIM protocols.


• High-level use and understanding of 3D CAD / Revit / Navisworks/ Revisto software and standards.


• Coordination of 3D interdisciplinary BIM software, review and checking.


• Building an understanding of basic discipline-based design concepts.


• Develop general arrangement drawings from engineers sketches and other design team member drawings and details and develop sketches into coordinated drawing details.


• Preparing room layouts, sections, details and coordinated services drawings.


• Produce accurate and timely BIM drawings and models to agreed deadlines.


• Ensure that accurate drawings and registration systems are produced according to supplied specifications and applicable standards, internal and external.


• Ensuring all relevant standards and guides are used in accordance with WSP QA processes.


• Follow QA, document control, archiving & CDM guidelines on all work.


• Management of communication and quality process.


• Responsible for delivery; taking ownership of projects tasks


• Delivery of project tasks on-time ensuring you maintain contact with project leads/design team.


• Develop and awareness of project delivery risk and mitigation techniques.


• Assisting more senior BIM Technicians and Coordinators with the analysis of tasks and problems.


• Other duties as directed, to help the company provide outstanding service to its customers

Qualifications (Minimum and Desirable)

• Bachelor’s Degree (Engineering) or equivalent


• Vocational Course (Engineering) or equivalent


• Working towards engineering registration within jurisdiction.


• Typically, 1-4 years’ experience specifically in the Communications/ICT, Security and Audio-Visual disciplines.


• High level drafting & detailing skills. Developing 3D Revit Skills


• Ability to undertake key technical tasks independently


• High level use and understanding of design software.


• Input to design resolution in a team effort with engineering team.


• Developing communication skills (Written and Oral communication) with peers, Team Leaders, Manager and Client


• Develops an understanding of WSP's organisational capability and how to access it.


• Working knowledge of systems, procedures and practices.


• Aware of organisational approach to risk management, ethics and safety.
