Job summary

WSP in Manila is seeking a BIM Technician with Civil drafting experience to support general arrangement drawings, RC detailing, and BIM workflows. You will work with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and ProjectWise, coordinating with multiple disciplines to ensure quality deliverables.

The ideal candidate has a civil drafting background, strong English communication, and the ability to work in a team environment while following QA procedures and SHEQ obligations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture or related field.
• Proficient in CAD software, especially AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Experience with BIM workflows and ProjectWise is preferred.
• Strong English communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare general arrangement drawings and RC detailing with bar bending schedules.
• Ensure drawings comply with project briefs and QA procedures.
• Perform Technical CAD / Civil 3D operations per standards.
• Maintain drawing sheet formats for project requirements.
• Collaborate with other disciplines and support BIM execution plan.
• Export DWF and other formats for internal/external collaboration.
• Support more senior BIM staff and assist with task analysis.
• Contribute to modelling and detailing using BIM standards.

• — Prints drawing set for professional team and attends discipline reviews.
• — Exports DWF and other formats for collaboration internally and externally.
• — Ability to work within a team and produce high quality work.

• — Inform team leads and clients about the progress and status of work
• — Assisting more senior BIM Technicians and Coordinators with the analysis of tasks and problems.

Qualifications

• — Technical competence commensurate with a BIM Technician, Civil’s role.
• — A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture or any related course.
• — Knowledgeable in AutoCAD.
• — Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Applications.
• — Good English communication Skills.
• — Typically 2+ years of relevant civil drafting experience.
• — High level use and understanding of CAD software and how it applies (AutoCAD, ProjectWise).
• — Proficiency in Civil 3D and 12D is an advantage.
• — Intermediate modelling and detailing skills. Prepares models and drawings from sketches and design information. Intermediate level use and understanding of BIM software and standards.
• — The ability to work as a team player, working with the wide variety of personalities and situations whilst remaining professional and outcome focused.
• — The ability to work independently and to communicate clearly with clients, management team, office team members, colleagues and consultants.
• — Attention to detail and the ability to follow up targets and deadlines to achieve outcomes.
• — Conversant in most manners of Construction Methodology & Project Delivery methods.
• — Good capabilities in digital coordination of multi-disciplinary design models.
• — Developing experience in managing client relations and expectations.
• — Awareness of management of model metadata including the application of classification systems.
• — Able to effectively manage discipline-based project information under guidance. Awareness of ISO19650 workflows.
• — Active participation in IQBE initiatives and discipline action plans.
• — Develops an understanding of WSP’s organizational capability and how to access it.
