Job summary

Viatechnik Inc. in Makati invites a skilled BIM Modeler to develop and maintain accurate 3D models from project drawings and specs.

You will convert 2D docs to 3D models, support coordination and field installation, perform clash detection, and produce deliverables.

Applicants should have a related degree and at least 2 years of BIM experience with Revit; strong communication and attention to detail are essential.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain accurate BIM models based on drawings and specs.
• Convert 2D drawings into coordinated 3D BIM models.

• Perform model coordination and clash detection with BIM tools.
• Produce coordination drawings and model-based deliverables.
• Assist in converting point cloud data into BIM models when applicable.
• Review multi-discipline documents to ensure model accuracy.
• Prepare RFIs and communicate issues to project teams.
• Ensure compliance with BIM standards and QA procedures.
• Conduct model quality checks and QA reviews.
• Identify and elevate project risks related to quality and schedule.
• Collaborate with project managers, BIM coordinators, engineers and stakeholders.
• Stay current with BIM technologies and industry best practices.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain accurate BIM models based on project drawings, specifications, and design requirements.
• Convert 2D drawings and design documents into coordinated 3D BIM models.
• Create constructible models that support project coordination, visualization, and installation in the field.
• Perform model coordination and clash detection using BIM software and coordination tools.
• Produce coordination drawings, shop drawings, and model-based project deliverables.
• Assist in the conversion of point cloud scans and laser scan data into BIM models, when applicable.
• Review architectural, structural, civil, and MEPF documents to ensure model accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare Requests for Information (RFIs) and communicate design or coordination issues to project teams.
• Ensure compliance with company BIM standards, project requirements, and quality control procedures.
• Conduct model quality checks and serve as the first level of quality assurance for assigned projects.
• Identify and elevate project risks related to quality, schedule, coordination, or productivity.
• Collaborate with project managers, BIM coordinators, engineers, and other stakeholders to support successful project delivery.
• Stay current with BIM technologies, workflows, and industry best practices.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Drafting Technology, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience as a BIM Modeler, BIM Technician, Revit Modeler, or a similar role.
• Proficiency in BIM software such as Autodesk Revit.
• Working knowledge of Navisworks or other model coordination and clash detection software.
• Ability to interpret and understand construction drawings, specifications, and technical documentation across multiple disciplines.
• Familiarity with BIM standards, modeling workflows, and construction coordination processes.
• Experience with architectural, structural, civil, or MEPF modeling is an advantage.
• Exposure to point cloud modeling and scan-to-BIM workflows is a plus but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Available to start immediately or within short notice is preferred.
