Job summary

Cresta is hiring a BIM Modeler specialized in MEP & Plumbing to work on U.S. projects from Mexico. You will develop 3D models and shop drawings in Revit MEP, coordinate across disciplines, and ensure code-compliant designs for commercial and residential builds.

Role requires strong Revit MEP and Navisworks skills, extensive knowledge of IPC/UPC, and the ability to work remotely on a NY schedule. English fluency is essential, with 3+ years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on MEP modeling or hydrosanitary design.
• Expert proficiency in Revit MEP (mandatory) and Navisworks.
• Solid understanding of US plumbing codes IPC/UPC and related docs.
• Degree in Civil/Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent MEP modeling experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed 3D Revit MEP models and shop drawings for plumbing/hydrosanitary systems.
• Apply IPC/UPC and relevant US codes to ensure compliant designs.
• Perform clash detection and coordination with disciplines using Navisworks.
• Review architectural/structural plans to identify coordination issues and propose solutions.

We are hiring a BIM Modeler / Specialist focused on MEP & Plumbing Systems to join the design team of one of our U.S.-based construction clients in New York.

In this role, you will work directly with the client’s engineering team to develop detailed plumbing shop drawings and 3D models in Revit MEP, coordinate systems across disciplines, and resolve clash detections before field execution. This is an ideal position for Civil, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineers, or Architects in Mexico with hands-on experience in plumbing design, hydrosanitary networks (Instalaciones Hidrosanitarias), and BIM coordination.

What You’ll Do

Develop detailed 3D models and construction-ready shop drawings using Revit MEP. Design, model, and coordinate plumbing/hydrosanitary systems for commercial and residential U.S. projects. Apply IPC (International Plumbing Code), UPC, and relevant U.S. building codes to ensure compliant designs. Perform clash detection and spatial coordination with Mechanical, Electrical, Structural, and Fire Protection disciplines using Navisworks. Review architectural/structural plans to proactively identify coordination issues and propose practical engineering solutions. Conduct QA/QC reviews to eliminate modeling errors and maintain organized project documentation/revisions.

What You’ll Bring

English Level: Advanced Technical & Conversational English (B2+ / C1 mandatory). Experience: 3+ years of hands-on experience in MEP modeling, plumbing design, or hydrosanitary engineering. Core Software: Expert proficiency in Revit MEP (mandatory) and Navisworks (clash detection). US Standards: Solid understanding of U.S. building codes (IPC / UPC) and U.S. construction documentation. Education: Degree in Civil Engineering (Ingeniería Civil), Mechanical Engineering (Ingeniería Mecánica), Architecture, or equivalent practical MEP modeling experience. Location: Must be residing and eligible to work remotely in Mexico.
