Job summary

BW Water, part of De Nora Water Technologies, is seeking a BIM Engineer to design and manage BIM/CAD drawings using AutoCAD Plant 3D, Revit, and Navisworks. You will create P&ID/GA drawings, manage BOMs, and guide BIM standards across projects.

Ideal candidates hold an engineering degree with 3+ years in BIM/CAD, strong technical drawing and communication skills, and knowledge of Plant 3D. Travel to project sites may be required for short-term assignments.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in engineering/construction management or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years relevant work experience.
• Extensive knowledge and experience in BIM/CAD.
• Excellent technical drawing skills.
• Strong communication and project management skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and software programs such as AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks.
• BIM Execution Plan knowledge.
• Plant 3D knowledge is an added advantage.
• Good interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Strong creative and visualization skills.
• Able to perform independently and support the BIM team.
• BIM Modelling certification is an added advantage.
• Good experience in water and wastewater treatment is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Design & Documentation: Prepare mechanical and structural design drawings during basic and detailed engineering phases using AutoCAD Plant 3D, Revit, Advance Steel, and/or Inventor.
• Create and update P&ID diagrams, GA drawings, isometric and piping fabrication drawings, structural detailing.
• Maintain BOMs and catalogs; customize components for project specs in Plant 3D, Revit, and Advance Steel.
• Train and support new users on AutoCAD Plant 3D, Revit, Advance Steel, and Inventor; ensure cross-discipline communication.
• Quality & Compliance: Ensure tasks comply with QMS and group quality directives; suggest workflow improvements.
• Collaborate with process engineering, fabrication, and project teams; work via BIM360.
• Attend client meetings and conduct site surveys for data collection and verification.
• Travel to project sites for short-term assignments as required.

We are seeking a BIM Engineer with expertise in AutoCAD 2D/3D and Autodesk Revit. The role includes creating and maintaining BIM models, producing technical drawings, guiding teams on BIM standards, managing timelines. Strong knowledge of BIM workflows and practical experience in Revit are essential.

Job responsibilities

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Design & Documentation

Prepare mechanical and structural design drawings during basic and detailed engineering phases using AutoCAD Plant 3D, Revit, Advance Steel, and/or Inventor.

Create and update:

P&ID diagrams

General arrangement (GA) drawings

Isometric and piping fabrication drawings

Structural steel detailing and fabrication drawings

Assembly and installation drawings

Manuals and related documentation

Maintain standard file structures in AutoCAD Plant 3D and Revit project environments.

Manage catalogues for equipment, valves, instruments, and structural components.

Customize components and adopt project-specific specifications across AutoCAD Plant 3D, Revit, and/or Advance Steel.

Prepare accurate Bill of Materials (BOM) for plant and structural design projects.

Quality & Compliance

Ensure all tasks comply with QMS requirements and Group quality directives.

Suggest improvements to design workflows and quality processes.

Work closely with process engineering, fabrication, and project teams to ensure competitive and precise designs.

Collaborate via BIM platforms such as BIM360.

Train and support new users on AutoCAD Plant 3D, Revit, Advance Steel, and/or Inventor.

Maintain effective communication across all relevant disciplines.

Project & Site Activities

Assist with detailed drawings during bidding and project phases.

Attend client meetings as required.

Conduct site surveys for data collection and verification.

Maintain organized filing systems for electronic and hard copy documents.

Travel to project sites for short-term assignments as required.
