To facilitate and coordinate the BIM (Building Information Modeling) lifecycle across all project phases, ensuring seamless digital collaboration, clash detection, and data integrity among cross-functional teams. Working closely with project management, the BIM Coordinator will implement BIM standards in alignment with HQ requirements, monitor daily model production, and support the integration of 3D/4D/5D processes. This role focuses on optimizing construction workflows, mitigating site conflicts, and ensuring accurate, on-time project delivery.
The main responsibilities of this role include:
BIM Strategy & Project Setup
Assist in establishment and implementation of the BIM Execution Plan (BEP) for both bidding and project execution stages for global projects.
Assist in set up of the initial BIM environment for new project sites, including Common Data Environment (CDE) and technical workflows for coordination (3D), scheduling(4D), and costing(5D).
Collaborate closely with the HQ BIM team to execute technical tasks for successful bidding and project delivery.
Coordination & Clash Management
Attend and support in BIM coordination meetings to identify and resolve multidisciplinary clashes (Architecture, Structure, M&E) before they affect on-site construction.
Perform automated clash detection using Navisworks and provide actionable reports to help design and site teams solve issues quickly.
Support the execution of Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) to simulate and optimize construction processes.
Subcontractor & Partner Management
Review and audit BIM models from subcontractors to ensure they meet BEP standards and Level of Development (LOD) requirements.
Monitor subcontractors’ progress to ensure timely delivery of shop drawings and as-built models.
Assist in identifying, evaluating, and building a network of reliable BIM partners and subcontractors.
Site Support & Talent Development
Assist in management of on-site BIM personnel and provide technical training on BIM software and digital workflows to staff.
Support the site team with digital data extraction, such as accurate Quantity Take-Offs (QTD) and 4D sequence visualization to monitor the project timeline.
Travel to and support sites directly for short term and long term durations based on site needs.
MEP Design Coordination
Coordinate Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection, ELV, and ICT systems within the BIM environment.
Review MEP system layouts to ensure compliance with project requirements, local codes, and constructability standards.
Verify adequate installation, maintenance, and access clearances for MEP equipment and services.
Coordinate routing of ducts, pipes, cable trays and conduits to optimize spatial efficiency and avoid field conflicts.
Support engineering teams in resolving MEP design issues through BIM-based coordination.
MEP Clash Resolution
Lead MEP-focused clash detection and resolution sessions involving HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection, Architectural and Structural disciplines.
Prioritize and manage critical clashes affecting construction sequencing, equipment installation and operational requirements.
Track clash resolution status and verify model updates from consultants and subcontractors.
Software Proficiency: Advanced-level proficiency in Autodesk Navisworks Manage (Clash Detective module), Autodesk Revit, and Autodesk AutoCAD. Expert knowledge of BIM 360 / Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) for model sharing and document control. Familiarity with 4D/5D simulation tools (e.g., Synchro, Fuzor) and BIM-based Quantity Take-Off (QTO) software. Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Power Point, Word, Project) for reporting and scheduling.
Strategic Leadership: Strong ability to lead site-based BIM teams, manage internal/ external stakeholders (consultants/ subcontractors), and coordinate with the HQ BIM team.
Problem-Solving: Ability to identify design conflicts early and provide practical, digital solutions for site-level construction issues (VDC support).
MEP Coordinator: Strong understanding of HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing and Fire Protection systems and
Language: Fluency in English (written/verbal) is mandatory for high-level technical negotiations and reporting.
Education: Degree, Diploma, or Higher Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, MEP or a related construction field.
Minimum 3 years of experience AEC industry experience, with at least 1 years of hands‑on BIM coordination/modeling on building construction sites. Must have a deep understanding of MEP systems and multidisciplinary integration processes
