Job summary

RelianceUnited is seeking an experienced Billing & Collections Assistant Manager to oversee the company’s billing and collections functions. The role requires directing the team, driving process improvements, and ensuring compliance with company policies.

You will work cross-functionally to automate and enhance billing processes, improve collection practices, and deliver real-time reporting across multiple platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required.
• CPA designation required.
• Minimum 3 years’ supervisory/assistant manager experience in billing and collections.
• Experience with Netsuite or Oracle software preferred.
• Healthcare industry experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead billing and collections to achieve monthly targets and DSO goals.
• Oversee timely production of all billing (paper and electronic) in line with policy.
• Drive collection strategies to optimize channels and reduce delinquency.
• Serve as point of contact for escalated billing inquiries.
• Implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
• Ensure adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures.
• Stay updated on billing best practices and industry trends.
• Staff and resource projects related to billing and collections.
• Monitor AR aging and provide regular reporting on collection risk.
• Support month-end close and internal/external audits.
