Job summary

Nordic in the Philippines is seeking a Business Intelligence Developer to join our team and grow as a data expert. You will work with databases and diverse software to build and tune IT solutions, research issues, and design OLAP structures.

You will present findings clearly and support decision-making with actionable insights. Responsibilities include creating BI tools, writing complex SQL, collaborating across BI/IT/operations, and ensuring data quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business, or related field or equivalent work experience.
• 2–3 years of professional work experience in data warehouse and reporting.
• Advanced SQL skills and experience with reporting and visualization tools.
• Healthcare data experience is a plus.
• Experience with Python is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with a variety of internal customers.
• Detail-oriented with ability to dig into the weeds while keeping the big picture reporting goals in mind.

Responsibilities

• Create and support BI tools and reports, such as physical data models and dimensional analyses.
• Design, code, test, and aggregate results from SQL queries to provide information to users.
• Participate in the design, development, and analysis of data architecture and warehousing approaches.
• Support operational business improvement initiatives by developing data model requirements aligned with business needs.
• Validate data integrity, monitor system performance, and deliver on data and analysis requests.
• Drive the data warehouse using Azure Synapse Analytics from design to ongoing maintenance.
• Develop common reporting definitions to ensure stakeholders understand outputs and visuals.
• Interpret and summarize analyses in a timely and meaningful way.
• Ensure quality of reports and visualizations through troubleshooting end user issues.
• Collaborate with BI, IT, and operations teams to drive data governance.
• Stay current with industry trends and new BI technologies.
• Handle ad hoc projects and support other initiatives as necessary.
