Job summary

HCM Nexus seeks a BI Analyst to develop and enhance reporting solutions focusing on Power BI, Microsoft Power Platform, and data visualization. You will partner with actuarial, data, QA, and IT teams to deliver scalable BI solutions and ensure data-driven decision making.

You will build semantic models, automate testing workflows, and collaborate across data engineering to improve data models. A strong analytics mindset and desire to learn new tools are essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience developing reports using Power BI.
• 5+ years of experience developing reports and dashboards using BI/visualization tools such as Power BI, QlikView, or Tableau.
• Experience supporting analytics or actuarial functions, preferably in an insurance environment.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to translate data into actionable business insights.
• Willingness to learn and adopt emerging tools and technologies.

Responsibilities

• Partner with actuarial teams to identify reporting priorities and deliver actionable BI solutions.
• Develop and enhance reports and dashboards using Power BI and Microsoft Power Platform.
• Build and maintain Power BI semantic models for reporting and analytics.
• Develop automated testing workflows and scalable CI/CD pipelines using cloud and Git-based tools.
• Validate report outputs in collaboration with QA teams.
• Create and maintain documentation for internal use and UAT.
• Collaborate with data engineering teams to improve reporting data models and architecture.
• Work with cross-functional stakeholders to implement reporting standards and support governance and compliance requirements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to reporting solutions.
