Job summary

Syneria invites applications for a BESS Engineer (f/m/x) to join our Manila office as one of the first hires. You will work with the Regional Manager to support expansion in the Philippines and ASEAN, acting as a key technical specialist for BESS within the group and coordinating with teams in Europe and France.

You will lead tasks on ongoing hybrid wind/solar/BESS projects or standalone BESS projects, assist in proposals, and contribute to business development while leveraging your experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Master’s degree in electrical/chemical engineering.
• 2–3 years of experience in a similar role.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Virto.CAD and power system analysis software.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in parallel.
• Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
• Fluent in English and Tagalog; French a plus.

Responsibilities

• BESS technology and supplier review: tracking cell/module chemistry and related components.
• Contribute to pre-feasibility/feasibility studies for hybrid/standalone BESS projects.
• Hybrid/standalone BESS electrical design: preliminary single-line diagrams and layout concepts.
• Prepare and review procurement technical specifications for BESS equipment.
• Technical Due Diligence reviews and constructability assessments.
• Review transmission line and grid interconnection aspects and metering interfaces.
• Site visits and inspections of BESS projects and infrastructure.
• Develop and improve internal engineering tools and methodologies.
• Quality assurance of internal assessments and reports.
• Participate in business development: offers, proposals, and client meetings.
• Market intelligence on BESS and grid regulatory developments.
• Coordinate with colleagues in France.
