Job summary

Vicente T. Lao Construction seeks an experienced electrical technician to diagnose and repair faults in motors, control panels, and VFDs. The role includes PLC maintenance, calibration, and support for weigh-batching systems and flow meters.

The candidate will conduct routine inspections of plant equipment, enforce LOTO safety, and supervise installations while coordinating with mechanical teams during plant upgrades.

Qualifications

• Experience diagnosing and repairing electrical faults in industrial equipment.
• Familiar with PLCs and automation equipment.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair electrical faults in motors, control panels, wiring, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), sensors, and switchgears.
• PLC & Automation Support: Maintain, troubleshoot, and calibrate Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), computerized batching software, load cells, weigh-batching instruments, and flow meters.
• Execute routine inspections and servicing on plant equipment (mixers, conveyors, chillers, and screw conveyors) to minimize unexpected downtime.
• Compliance & Safety: Enforce safety regulations, including Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO) protocols and electrical safety compliance standards.
• Installation & Upgrades: Supervise electrical installations, read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams, and support mechanical teams during plant modifications.
