Job summary

Alta Sports in Manila is seeking a Basketball Content Editor to produce and manage written basketball coverage, including breaking news, game reports, previews, analysis, and features.

You will monitor developments in local and international basketball, cover major leagues such as PBA, UAAP, NCAA, NBA, and adapt stories for social media while upholding Alta Sports’ editorial standards.

The role requires strong English writing, accuracy, and the ability to work under tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• At least 2–3 years of professional sports writing/editing experience.
• Strong basketball knowledge.
• Excellent English writing and editing skills.
• Strong research and fact-checking abilities.
• Ability to work quickly under deadline pressure.
• Experience with CMS/content publishing platforms is preferred.
• Journalism, communications, or related background is an advantage.
