Job summary

Alta Sports in Manila is looking for a Volleyball Content Editor to produce high-quality volleyball content in both written and video formats, and to edit and publish breaking news, game reports, previews, analysis, and features.

You will monitor volleyball news globally, plan content ahead of tournaments, coordinate with editing and social media teams, ensure accuracy, and adapt stories for social media while maintaining Alta Sports editorial standards.

Qualifications

At least 2–3 years of professional sports writing/editing experience.
Strong interest and knowledge in volleyball.
Excellent English writing and editing skills.
Strong research and fact-checking abilities.
Ability to work efficiently under deadline pressure.
Highly detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

Monitor local and international volleyball news and developments.
Plan and conceptualize content assets ahead of a tournament.
Properly coordinate with the editing and social media teams.
Write and edit volleyball news, game reports, previews, analysis, and feature stories in a timely manner.
Game coverage of both local and international major leagues such as PVL, VNL, UAAP, AVC Cup, Beach, Spikers' Turf and other relevant tournaments.
Ensure the accuracy of information, statistics, quotes, and other relevant details prior to publishing.
Basic image and video editing for templated scorecards and game highlights.
Adapt stories into social media-friendly formats.
Maintain Alta Sports' editorial standards and tone.
