Job summary

Avenir Restaurant Group in Iloilo is seeking a Bartender to greet guests, mix drinks, and deliver attentive service in a fast-paced dining setting. You will handle a house bank, follow cash procedures, and ensure bar readiness with a thorough knowledge of beverages.

Fluency in English and a positive, guest-focused attitude are essential. Two years of experience is preferred, and training will be provided for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• At least two years of experience in a fast-paced dining establishment preferred.
• Working knowledge of wine, beer, spirits and tending bar.
• Fluent in English; proficiency in other languages is a plus.
• Must have valid food handler card.

Responsibilities

Bartenders are responsible for positive guest interaction while accurately mixing and serving beverages to guests and servers in a friendly and efficient manner. At all times, bartenders are expected to be attentive to the guests' needs and making them feel welcome, comfortable, important and relaxed.

Responsibilities May Include

• Greet guests, take beverage orders from the servers or directly from guests.
• Mix drinks, cocktails and other bar beverages as ordered.
• Check identification of guests to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol
• Handle an assigned house bank and follow all cash handling procedures
• Collect payment for drinks served and balance all receipts
• Ensure that the assigned bar area is fully equipped with tools and products needed for mixing beverages and serving guests, prepare inventory
• Serve snacks or food items to guests seated at the bar where appropriate.
• Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of food and beverage products, menus and promotions.

Requirements/Responsibilities

• At least two years of experience at a fast paced dining establishment is preferred, however we will train the right candidate
• Working knowledge of wine, beer, spirits and tending bar, with the ablity to learn and follow recipes.
• A warm and outgoing personality with a passion for food, wine, spirits and customer service
• Must have a commitment to deliver a unique and memorable guest experience
• Excellent people skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure
• The ability to multi-task and work well in a high volume environment
• Possess basic math skills and have the ability to handle money and operate a point-of-sale system.
