• Barista certification or Food Safety certificate is advantageous.

About the role

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Barista to join the team at ZC Kings Manpower Janitorial Services Cooperative. This is a full-time position based in Las Piñas City, Metro Manila. As a Barista, you will be the heart of our beverage service operations, responsible for crafting high-quality coffee and other beverages whilst delivering exceptional customer service. This role is essential to creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring every customer leaves with a memorable experience.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a wide variety of coffee-based beverages, including espresso, cappuccino, latte, and speciality drinks to exacting standards
• Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders, and other beverage equipment in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and company procedures
• Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, providing knowledgeable recommendations based on customer preferences
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the bar area, including equipment sanitisation and workspace organisation
• Stock and manage beverage inventory, ensuring adequate supplies of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other ingredients
• Handle cash and card transactions accurately and securely, reconciling the till at the end of shifts
• Interact professionally and courteously with customers, building rapport and encouraging repeat business
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth service flow during peak periods
• Follow all food safety and hygiene regulations to maintain highest standards of beverage preparation

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Barista or in a similar beverage preparation role within the hospitality industry
• Advanced knowledge of coffee varieties, brewing methods, and espresso-based beverages
• Proficiency in operating espresso machines and other professional coffee equipment
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and remain calm under pressure
• Attention to detail and commitment to consistency in beverage quality and presentation
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
• Excellent time management and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Basic mathematics skills for handling transactions and inventory management
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, afternoons, and weekends as required
• Relevant certifications such as a Barista certification or Food Safety Certificate would be advantageous
