BARISTA / HEAD BARISTA

Our Baristas are the engine of Public Goods' beverage program. This role is for passionate coffee professionals or hospitality graduates who want to work with premium equipment and specialty beans in a high-volume, high-energy environment. Your job is to serve exceptional coffee quickly, maintain bar efficiency, and make every guest feel genuinely welcome.

Key Responsibilities

• Coffee Execution: Dial in espresso daily, steam perfect milk texture, and execute signature drinks consistently during peak rushes.
• Equipment Care: Perform daily backflushing on the espresso machine, clean and purge grinders, check water filtration indicators, and treat all bar gear with high maintenance standards.
• Bar Workflow: Keep a fast, organized, and clean station so drink tickets move quickly and wait times stay low.
• Hospitality & POS: Welcome guests warmly, take accurate orders on the POS system, and handle payments smoothly.
• Inventory & Upkeep: Run end-of-shift deep cleaning checklists and restock bar inventory using FIFO.

Qualifications

• Experience: 1-2 years of specialty coffee experience. Senior Baristas need 3+ years and experience mentoring staff.
• Skills: Confident with sensory dialing, milk texturing, and latte art. Strong understanding of how to clean and maintain commercial espresso machines and grinders safely.
• Mindset & Logistics: High energy, collaborative, zero ego, and calm under pressure. Available for flexible shifts, weekends, and holidays.
