Job summary

Likas Yaman Service Corporation in Cebu City is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer with a valid professional license to supervise barge and facilities maintenance activities on-site. You will oversee repair planning, coordinate with contractors, manage inventory, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, 3–5 years in electrical work, and 1–2 years supervising staff or contractors.

• Professional license required/preferred.
• 3–5 years experience in electrical field.
• 1–2 years experience supervising staff or managing outsourced contractors.
• Experience in structural and ship repair.
• Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and critical power (UPS/generators) systems.
• Familiarity with local health, fire, and building safety regulations.
• Experience with government documents application and approvals.
• Strong negotiation skills (oral and written).

Responsibilities

• Direct reporting to the immediate superior.
• Supervising the barge and facilities maintenance personnel.
• Oversee the whole repair activity for the barge and facilities.
• Overseeing the maintenance and operation of SMCSL warehouses and grounds.
• Responsible for barge repair planning.
• Responsible for facilities repair planning.
• Responsible for the sequence of JOs per department.
• Providing weekly barge and facilities maintenance report.
• QA for third-party contractor output per project based on the scope of work.
• Provide PR for barge and facility requirements.
• Control the barge's and facility's equipment and inventory.
• Attend third-party bidding and collaborate with the civil engineer for the scope of work.
• Supervising the maintenance and repair of buildings, grounds, and equipment, including hiring contractors for major projects.
• Enforcing safety measures.
• Performing administrative tasks such as scheduling employees, ordering supplies, and arranging for repairs.
• Maintaining a safe and clean environment by complying with regulations regarding environmental issues such as waste disposal and recycling.
• Serve as liaison between government regulatory agencies and company officials regarding environmental issues.

• With at least 1 to 2 years of experience supervising staff or managing outsourced contractors
• With structural and ship repair experience
• Understanding of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and critical power (UPS/generators) systems.
• Knowledge of local occupational health, fire, and building safety regulations
• With experienced in government documents application
• Has a good negotiation skills (both oral and written)
