Job summary

East West Banking Corporation in Makati is seeking an experienced Service Manager to run store operations, ensure excellent customer service, and help the store meet its profit goals. The role requires AMLC compliance, account opening, remittances, and thorough transaction recording.

The ideal candidate has at least five years of supervisory experience in branch operations, preferably as an Assistant Manager in a bank with similar duties. Onsite work and competitive compensation are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum five (5) years of supervisory experience in branch operations.
• College graduate, preferably in a Business or Accounting-related course.
• Experience as Assistant Manager at another bank with similar responsibilities is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure adherence to regulatory and AMLC requirements, including opening new accounts, monitoring and reporting transactions, maintaining KYC records, updating customer information, issuing manager's checks, and managing remittances.
• Oversee and approve a variety of over-the-counter transactions beyond teller authority, ensure compliance with policies and procedures, manage time-deposit placements, and aim for excellent customer experiences through efficient processing and error management.
• Promptly acknowledge, log, report, and resolve complaints, and verify that the complaint tracking register is complete and accurate.
• Accurately record daily store transactions based on teller totals and documents, manage temporary accounts timely, and reconcile General Ledger balances with subsidiary ledgers.
• Assist in achieving the store’s profitability target.

What The Role Will Entail

• Ensure adherence to regulatory and AMLC requirements, including opening new accounts, monitoring, and reporting transactions, maintaining KYC (Know Your Customer) records, updating customer information, issuing manager's checks, and managing remittances.
• Oversee and approve a variety of over-the-counter transactions beyond teller authority, ensure compliance with policies and procedures, manage time deposit placements, and aim for excellent customer experiences with efficient processing and error management. This includes handling checkbook orders, dealing with unclaimed checkbooks, processing bills, managing loans, clearing items, and addressing in-clearing check defects, while also supporting various banking groups like Corporate Banking, Wealth Management/Treasury, and Consumer.
• Ensure prompt acknowledgment, logging, reporting, and resolution of complaints, and verify the accurate completion of the complaint tracking register with all necessary information.
• Ensure accurate recording of daily store transactions based on Teller totals and documents, manage temporary accounts timely, and reconcile General Ledger balances with subsidiary ledgers/records.
